University of Missouri-Kansas City Bloch Executive Hall for Entrepreneurship and Management

JE Dunn worked on a design-build collaborative environment for the construction of a four-story classroom building at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Now completed, the new Henry W. Bloch Executive Hall for Entrepreneurship is a 68,428-square-foot building housing graduate, executive and entrepreneurship programs.

The state-of-the-art facility houses a one-of-a-kind design-led innovation lab for brainstorming, simulation, concept design and ideation, and prototyping; a combined atrium and amphitheater in the center of the building; a behavioral research lab for academic and funded research projects and a 200-seat auditorium with seating and tables for group learning exercises.

The building’s exterior features insulated precast concrete panels clad with European terra-cotta panels and is designed to show a natural progression of colors and textures which further enforces innovation and creativity.
