Sarah Cannon Cancer Hospital

at Medical City Plano

JE Dunn completed construction on a 138,000 SF, four-story patient tower expansion for Medical City Plano, a fully occupied hospital. This project includes 60 new medical/surgery beds, 30 burn and trauma ICU beds, oncology, associated nurse stations and support spaces, lobby reception and admitting, café, gift shop and office space. Also included in this project is an expanded 12,000 SF utility plant including chillers, power generators, MDF electrical room and storage. This project is LEED Gold certified.

JE Dunn, the design team, the owner, and key trade partners prefabricated 60% of the building off-site. These efforts not only resulted in a 10% cost and 6.7% schedule savings, but also maximized quality and mitigated trade shortages in the local market.
