The Salem Police Department has outgrown their current space inside City Hall where they have been located for 47 years. JE Dunn, along with DLR Group and local architecture firm CB|Two, is working with the City of Salem and Police Department to create a new facility to consolidate units and departments split between City Hall and off-site leased spaces. The new police station will include evidence storage, crime lab, emergency response vehicles, training spaces as well as the City of Salem Emergency Operations Center. The 104,000 square foot building also includes a community meeting room, public lobby area, and outdoor plaza—balancing an inviting, civic building while maintaining secure facilities for police operations. The adjacent 77,000 square foot parking garage includes secure parking for 250 vehicles.
