JE Dunn completed a three-story, 32,0000-square-foot new temple for the LDS Church. The Kansas City Missouri Temple is the second Latter-day Saint temple in Missouri and the 137th worldwide. The temple is located on a prominent rise in the Shoal Creek area. It features anigre hardwood from Africa, arched doorways and ceilings, intricate gold leafing, granite imported from India, and marble from Mexico and Spain. A mural of a scenic Missouri landscape, painted by a local artist, adorns one of the rooms, and an olive branch motif appears throughout the interior and exterior of the building.
