JE Dunn completed a design-build parking structure on the campus of Johnson County Community College. Constructed of cast-in-place concrete, this brick exterior garage features slab-on-grade plus three elevated floors with stairwells. An additional 3,828-square-foot consists of shell space for a future chiller plant.
In the northeast corner stands a triangular staircase which links to a 70-foot elevated pedestrian bridge that allows students easy access to the adjacent classroom building. This structure was designed to incorporate the outdoor sculpture garden that resides nearby.
