Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport

Delta Air Lines Airside Modernization

Delta Air Lines selected the JE Dunn led joint venture to deliver an 85-gate, multi-concourse modernization at Hartsfield- Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL).

With a relentless focus on passenger experience, all existing storefront systems and additional portions of exterior walls were removed. Floor-to-ceiling glass was installed, allowing natural light to flow into concourses T, A, B, and C at the world's most traveled airport. All interior public spaces were completely modernized.

The 85 gates and three midpoints were split into 32 phases of multiple "sectors" within each phase. This innovative method led to project completion more than a year before the owner's original plan. As a result the project was named the 2019 CMAA South Atlantic Chapter Project of the Year and earned the 2019 Maynard H. Jackson Jr. Soar Award.
