This year, Denver took a different approach to its United Way campaign. In concert with the giving campaign, they focused heavily on educating employees about the many organizations that United Way supports and encouraging people to get involved, while having fun along the way. They hosted a fundraising ping pong and cornhole tournament and offered everyone a more in-depth look at United Way and the numerous volunteer activities available. The campaign raised approximately $35,000 and resulted in a big volunteer event at the end of the campaign at the Food Bank of the Rockies. The group packed 757 boxes— about 21,650 pounds of food! “What a great turnout. It was wonderful to see so many JE Dunn groups represented, including scheduling, marketing, preconstruction, legal, operations, and leadership. I think that working together to help the community makes us better team members in our day-to-day lives. I feel so fortunate to work with such an amazing group of people,” said Michelle Ott, marketing director.
