UT MD Anderson Cancer Center, South Campus Vivarium
Houston, Texas
In order to serve the expanding research facility that serves MD Anderson, a 65,000 square-foot warehouse building was selected for conversion into a very sophisticated vivarium. The project included the addition of a major new utility building and second level interstitial space. The build-out included sophisticated cage areas, cage washing and sterilizing equipment, sophisticated labs, procedure rooms and general offices. One of the challenges for the Dunn Team was conducting major construction activities adjacent to an existing vivarium that housed mice being used for research project. The team was successful in never having a disturbance issue. Architect: Page Southerland Page |
