Kansas City, Missouri

JE Dunn Construction has broken ground on their new 5-story, 204,000 square foot headquarters building in downtown Kansas City, Missouri. Opening onto the Ilus W. Davis Park, the design complements the existing architecture of City Hall, the Federal Courthouse, the Department of Transportation, and will anchor the new East Village development. The headquarters building features precast concrete and glass and will house a flexible office environment, state-of-the-art technology, cafeteria, and other employee spaces. The project also includes a 780-space parking structure that will be utilized by JE Dunn Construction and the public. The headquarters building is designed for LEED Gold certification. If achieved, it will be the first corporate headquarters in Kansas City, Missouri to earn the certification. Sustainable design and construction processes that will be incorporated include construction waste diversion, energy alternatives to curb gas usage, utilization of local materials and urban lumber, water conservation, and ample natural lighting.
