This job involved extensive interior work, select demolition, and the addition of 5,000 SF of new living area as well as improvements in the kitchen, laundry area and basement. Modernization covered all plumbing, electrical, mechanical, safety, communications, and security elements of the mansion.
Unique Features
- The 1856 South Carolina Governor's Mansion was the only Arsenal Military Academy building to survive the burning of Columbia during the War Between the States, making this project a unique historic renovation and addition.
