Rose Quarter Entertainment Complex
Portland, Oregon
New 1,500,000 SF arena. The private work included the construction of a state-of-the-art, 21,000-seat arena, annex building, two parking structures, and a restaurant/entertainment complex that included the Portland Trailblazers Corporate Headquarters. The public portion involved construction of two additional parking structures, an extensive pedestrian plaza, transit center, and extensive road and utility work completely surrounding the existing and fully operational coliseum. The roof is a space-age design that spans more than 300 feet. It contains 5,200 tons of steel and features 50-foot cantilevers at both ends. It required a team of advanced mathematicians to figure the proper curvature for fabrication and erection.
JE Dunn - NW returned to handle additional projects, including seat modification, suites addition, fire damage repair to the restaurant, ADA improvements, post 9-11 security modifications, parking garage maintenance and other small projects.
