Mid-America Center Arena
Council Bluffs, Iowa
New 242,700 SF arena, field house, and 110,000 SF convention center.
The arena has 7,500 permanent seats and the concert seating capacity of 10,000 seats with 2,500 seats on the floor. The arena has a concrete structure with a steel truss roof with an "aircraft wing" profile. The exterior skin is precast, metal panel, and curtainwall with some architectural stone. The field house serves as a pre-function area to the arena as well as a large meeting room and a field house for sporting events. It is a steel structure clad to match the architecture of the arena.
