HCA Centerpoint Medical Center of Independence

This new 434,898 SF hospital sits on an 80-acre site just North of Interstate 70. The completed facility combines and replaces the existing Independence Regional Health Center and Medical Center of Independence hospitals. It will serve not only the City of Independence, but surrounding communities as well such as Blue Springs, Odessa and parts of Kansas City. The new facility is a full-service hospital with emergency, surgery, inpatient, outpatient, imaging, women's services, cafeteria/kitchen, administration and all support spaces. This hospital was completed in May 2007. Utilization of JE Dunn's "We Care" standards and procedures for interim life safety were key aspects of the construction process.
