Louisiana Place
Houston, Texas
The redevelopment of the first four levels of a major 35-story office building in downtown Houston repositioned the building to compete more successfully in the marketplace for prime tenants. The existing facade was replaced with a structural glass curtain wall system. Portions of the second floors were removed and new entrances constructed. New escalators were added, linking tunnel level to street level. Lobbies, common areas and restrooms were refurbished and the old mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems were replaced.
Unique Features:
- The building remained fully operational during construction. Approximately 2,500 tenants and visitors moved in and out of the building all day.
- The project was delivered with a perfect safety record.
