The Metropolis
Atlanta, Georgia
1,000,000 SF, 21-story, 2-tower, 498-unit mixed-use residential facility encompassing one whole city block in Midtown Atlanta. The new building blends a mix of 1&2 bedroom condos, 7 levels of parking and approximately 39,500 SF of leasable retail space. Amenities for the tenants include a 7th floor health club, a swimming pool with outdoor terrace and a multi-media room with a multi-level video/voice/data distribution system (i.e., an interactive 'smart' room). The building is post-tensioned concrete with a metal panel and spandrel glass skin system.
Unique Features
- We beat our aggressive 20.5-month schedule and completed this project in only 19 months.
- Recipient of the 2004 Georgia Chapter ACI Annual Awards Competition, First Place, High-Rise Category.
- The Atlanta District Council of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) awarded the Metropolis its prestigious 2004 Project of Excellence Award.
