UCHSC Barbara Davis Center For Childhood Diabetes
Aurora, Colorado
113,000 SF 4-story building serving clinical care and advanced diabetes research functions. The first two levels are clinical and the upper two are research including a vivarium. The new clinic will be entered from a long, daylight-filled, two-story gallery along the eastern side of the building.

- Natural materials and earthtones chosen to make the experience of families coming to the clinic as comfortable and stress-free as possible.
- Careful coordination required to tie the Center to the existing central utility plant while minimizing disruption to campus facilities. Working closely with UCHSC a schedule comprised of three Saturdays, 12-hours each day, was established resulting in minimal interruption to ongoing campus activities.
- JE Dunn Construction worked with the Owner and Architect to consolidate this 2-phase construction project into a single-phase project after determining this as long term cost-effective solution
