16,000 SF $4 million Texas Biotechnology Corporation houses a 4,400 SF animal holding area plus laboratories and offices. The installation of the HVAC equipment and the plumbing, gas lines and electrical was a critical part of the project, because the labs and holding facility are located on floors 20 and 21. Two major chases that extended through the roof and contain the exhaust ductwork were created as a result of the code requirements by the City of Houston that mandates direct venting of the floors.
