615,000 SF courthouse housing 16 courtrooms, the Circuit Court of Appeals, Judge's Chambers, U.S. Attorney's office, U.S. Marshal's offices, court-related agencies, extensive multimedia conferencing facilities, cafeteria and kitchen, and enclosed secured parking for 100 vehicles.
Unique features:
- Use of high-end materials such as granite, limestone, glass, and terrazzo.
- 4,000-pound, 115-year-old bell which originally hung in the north tower of the first US Federal Building and Post Office in Kansas City located on the second floor
- "Soft" metrics were used and required by the GSA
- Provided Design-Build services for a firing range located in the basement for the US Marshal's Service.
