Location: Nationwide

Opportunity:

Provide overall management direction and expertise in planning, implementing, and supervising construction quality assurance programs in compliance with contract documents and supervise and mentor other Quality team staff in their construction quality professional and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

  • REVIEW site specific quality programs for Company compliance.
  • COMMUNICATE quality philosophies and values of the Company with direct reports to foremen, superintendents, and project managers to ensure compliance and acceptance of the program.
  • ASSIST field and office staff to interpret company, owner, and government requirements and recommendations in relation to the quality construction methods and processes.
  • PERFORM QA Plan Reviews during pre-construction and assist with 3rd Party plan review coordination
  • MANAGE VDC, quality deliverables for all assigned projects.
  • CONDUCT QA training programs and classes for Operations and Field staff.
  • PERFORM warranty-related investigations in support of Operations and ensure warranty data is properly documented through internal quality control systems and tools.
  • PARTICIATE in staff, team and quality committee meetings to foster quality efforts and report on quality trends or issues.
  • ASSIST in the recruitment, supervision, development, and evaluation of quality team members.
  • PERFORM subcontractor quality performance evaluations at project completion.
  • ASSIGNED as an on-site quality representative or 5+ roving projects.
  • PARTICIPATE in sales and marketing efforts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

    REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelors Degree, with preference for Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management, or a combination of related construction quality and related experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years construction quality experience with a minimum of 5 years in USACE or other Government contracting.
  • Must be efficient in Microsoft Office, RMS/QCS, and related applications.
  • Basic skills in the presentation and training of groups on Quality topics.
  • Advanced knowledge of QA procedures for a variety of construction conditions.
  • Advanced ability to recognize non-compliant conditions and implement corrective measures is essential.
  • Advanced communication skills along with the ability to deal with different personalities found in this industry are also required.
  • Requires a minimum of 40 hours continuing education annually.
  • Current US Army Corps of Engineers Construction Quality Management for Contractors Certificate
  • Moderate and some overnight travel with a potential to relocate.
  • OSHA 10 Hour Class
  • First Aid & CPR Training
  • Makes complex decisions on project and consults with Asst. QA Director on company quality recommendations.
