This 2-story middle school has 10 classrooms, a wireless state-of-the-art library/media center, a choral room, a band room, a kitchen and dining hall, and student commons.
Highly sustainable, a few of the 'green' building aspects include energy efficient HVAC and windows, daylighting with motion sensors, low VOC materials, low flow water fixtures, and the use of recycled construction materials such as steel, drywall, concrete, stone, and cast-stone. Construction waste was diverted from landfills.
Darlington Middle School achieved LEED Gold certification.
