The Mitchell Dining Hall project involved demolition, renovation and addition to an existing dining hall at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. The 25,000 SF primary finishing kitchen with new food service equipment was expanded on the dining level and the mezzanine floor was extended by 2100 SF. 25% of the service level kitchen and 50% of the dining level kitchen was renovated and included two new large restroom groups.
The dining hall feeds 4500 cadets in 45 minutes, three meals a day, every week. This work is the 3rd phase of a six-phase building renovation.
