The Colorado Springs FedEx Ground Sorting Facility is a facility with dedicated open floor sorting space and also some designated office space. The structure is a pre-engineered metal building structurally integrated with masonry walls.
There are 16 dock doors with a sloping trailer apron for loading and off-loading of trailers. The facility also has eight drive-in doors to accommodate vans, trucks and trailers. The structure was designed and built with the intent to ease construction of future expansion.
