The Bright Generations Child Care Center at Georgia Power's regional headquarters is a 2-story facility built to house day care operations for employees' children.  This pre-kindergarten facility includes 15 classrooms, kitchen, and ancillary spaces to accommodate up to 150 infants, toddlers, and school-age children.

The center achieved LEED Silver certification.  Sustainable features included maximized use of daylighting and efficient lighting sensors, use of recycled content, high solar reflectivity, high efficient cooling systems, Energy Star rated appliances and equipment, and low VOC materials.  93% of construction waste was recycled and diverted from landfills.
