JE Dunn Construction's corporate headquarters building, located in Kansas City, Missouri, is a 6-level office building. An adjacent parking structure provides space for 780 vehicles.

The exterior is precast concrete and glass and houses a flexible office environment, state-of-the-art technology, a cafeteria and other public spaces.

In 2010, the building achieved LEED Gold certification and was the first corporate headquaraters building so designated in Kansas City, Missouri.  Contributing to the LEED designation, the following items were incorprated into the project:

  • Energy-efficient HVAC systems

  • 95 percent of construction waste was diverted, recycled, or reused

  • Irrigation provided by site-collected storm water

  • Use of reclaimed wood

  • Locally sourced materials

  • 54 percent less water use

Building Information Modeling (BIM) was also used extensively on this project from design through completion and assisted in cost-estimating, layout, quality control, self-performance, 4D planning and clash detection.
