Named for alumni John Q. Hammons, the JQH Arena provided a much needed larger indoor venue for MSU athletics programs. The facility features over 11,000 seats, 25 private suites, 114 loge seats, and 55 courtside seats. Additional features include locker rooms, training rooms, and one half-court practice area.
Fan amenities include a Hall of Fame, a team souvenir store, a ticket office, and a club. Special attention was given during design to the multi-use capability of the arena by means of retractable seats on the west end. By granting this flexibility, 1,300 seats can be retracted allowing for concerts and other special events. The arena includes additional shell space for expansion.
