JE Dunn is building the Effingham County Jail and Sheriff's Office in Springfield, Georgia. The project consists of constructing a new 200 bed housing wing, which will be approximately 50,603 square feet. Additionally, we will be renovating the existing Sheriff's office of approximately 19,800 square feet, and renovating and expanding the county prison kitchen and laundry to serve the expanded county jail housing needs. We will be converting 132 beds of prison dorm space to jail housing and connecting all three buildings with corridors, so the sheriff's office will be connected to the jail, and the jail to the prison. The project is still in design development and is anticipated to start this November.
