Minneapolis Institute of Arts included a 3-story museum addition designed by renowned architect Michael Graves.  This new landmark addition added 40 percent more gallery display area to the museum.

The ground floor contains a library, print, drawings and photography collections, and a lecture room all organized around a centrally featured atrium space.  The second and third floors are devoted to galleries with the inclusion of a new reception hall with barrel-vault ceiling.  Extensive remodeling of the existing galleries and offices was also a part of this project scope.
