Since 1972, JE Dunn has partnered with Metropolitan Community College to complete over 20 projects on its six campuses ranging in scope from new construction to remodel and expansion.
Recently, projects involved the construction of FEMA shelters on each of its campuses. Square footage ranged from 2,730 to 47,120 SF. Compelted over the course of ayear, each building was constructed with 12-inch-thick concrete walls and consisted of a guideline approved FEMA shelter and building addition for classrooms and theaters.
These buildings were designed and constructed to LEED standards. The buildings also have a 20% increase in energy performance.
