The Health Science Institute is a building that houses numerous health care teaching facilities such as nursing, surgery technology, dental hygiene, emergency medical technician training, human patient simulation labs, x-ray technician, record keeping, physical therapy, computer classrooms, general education rooms and faculty offices.
This was a renovation and new construction project. The existing building is five stories tall including a basement which houses a future network/data center. The new 4-story lobby atrium addition is a steel structure clad with a European 'rain screen' system and curtain wall glazing. The upgrade of the existing building included all mechanical systems and was designed LEED Silver.
