Construction of the Curtis and Elizabeth Anderson Cancer Institute at Memorial University Medical Center began in 2001. Its grand opening was celebrated in 2003.
The nearly 28,000 SF, two story project is comprised of more than 23,000 SF of new construction and 4,500 SF of renovated space. This state-of-the-art facility houses medical physics, medical and surgical oncology multi-specialty clinics, a patience resource room and a garden.
This building was the last of five major construction projects completed by Rives E. Worrell on Memorial's campus over the span of eight years.
