The 620,000 SF IRS Processing Center in Kansas City, Missouri consolidated IRS operations that had been dispersed among five major locations within the Kansas City metropolitan area.
The main processing facility consists of three processing center wings that total 599,850 SF. A 77,000 SF multi-level warehouse adjoins the processing wings adding an additional 108,000 cubic feet of storage. The adjacent main post office building was renovated to provide 496,088 SF for training, administrative offices, information services and support functions. A new 4-story parking garage provides space for 1,500 vehicles.
The IRS Processing Center incorporates a number of sustainable elements
