COLORADO SPRINGS - JE Dunn Construction, a commercial general contractor with offices in Colorado Springs and Denver, recently broke ground on the renovation project for Cripple Creek-Victor High School. The project will include an 18,000-square-foot addition for the school and 45,000-square-feet of renovation.

The project is part of a bond issue approved in November. Designed by LKA Partners, the renovation scope will include new mechanical and electrical systems while the addition to the north side of the building will include a new kitchen, stage, common area and lockers.

"Quality schools with quality facilities are an integral part of every community so we are proud to be a part of this project," said Marty Rickett, senior project manager for JE Dunn. The $9 million project is scheduled for completion March 2009.

JE Dunn has completed work for a number of school districts in the region including Falcon School District 49, Academy School District 20, and the Lewis Palmer School District 38. In addition to the Cripple Creek-Victor High School Project, JE Dunn is currently completing the new 74,004-square-foot replacement school for Monument Academy.
