JE Dunn Breaks Ground at Monument Academy SchoolPosted on: 31-DEC-07FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE For more information, contact: Danna Guffey (816) 391.2584 danna.guffey@jedunn.com
Approximately 60 people attended the groundbreaking including 20 students and Ronald Arrington, the K-8 school's principal. The $9.3 million project is scheduled for completion September 2008.
Founded in 1996, Monument Academy is the only charter school in the Lewis Palmer School District 38. Designed by Hutton Ford Architects, the three-story school will utilize donated or reused items including furniture, doors, door hardware, and flooring.
"We are proud to support the educational needs of our community and are committed to delivering an outstanding facility for the students, faculty and community," said Matt Vineyard, senior project manager for JE Dunn Construction.
Unique to this project is the coordination and special care required because the school borders a Prebles meadow jumping mouse habitat, a species that is currently protected under the Endangered Species Act. The school is located approximately one mile east of I-25 and Highway 105.
JE Dunn has completed work for a number of school districts in the region including the Springs Ranch Elementary School addition, Skyview Middle School addition, Falcon High School conversion and the Sand Creek High School additions for Falcon School District 49. » Back to Press and News Archive |
