Within the project scope the tower basement will house the mechanical equipment, the first floor will be home to the Intensive Care Unit, the second floor holds Telemetry and Gynecological Surgery and the third floor will accommodate Medical Surgery. Floors two and three will feature a connector bridge to the existing hospital and R. J. Griffin will also renovate patient rooms on the third floor of the existing hospital.
This project was designed by Perkins + Will architects of Dallas, TX and is R. J. Griffin's fifth project for Iasis. They recently completed Mountain Vista Medical Center in Mesa, AZ for Iasis in June 2007.
Davis Hospital is R. J. Griffin's first project in Utah and is a first new construction project in Utah for the JE Dunn Construction Group, of which Griffin is a member. Over the past five years R. J. Griffin & Company alone has constructed over 13 million square feet of healthcare facilities representing nearly $2 billion in revenue.

Atlanta, GA - R. J. Griffin & Company general contractors broke ground on December 3rd to construct a 76,953 square foot, three-story plus basement, 70-bed tower addition at Davis Hospital and Medical Center in Layton, UT for client Iasis Healthcare Corporation of Franklin, TN. The bed tower addition project is scheduled to complete by early 2009. This project is being constructed by R. J. Griffin's Nashville, TN office.
