JE Dunn Construction has been recognized for its project, Wayne L. Morse Federal Courthouse in Eugene, Oregon, in Buildings magazine's annual Project Innovations award competition. JE Dunn's award was presented during The Buildings Awards presentation on July 22, 2007, at The Office Building Show in New York City.

The Wayne L. Morse Federal Courthouse was the recipient of the Grand Prize for Building Interior Design. Additionally, the project was recognized as an outstanding example of project innovation. The courthouse will be featured on the cover of Buildings magazine's October 2007 issue.

According to the judges, "the use of light and space to create visual volume was extremely well-executed and softened the appearance of the building's function. Using these elements in innovative ways also created a bond to the sustainable intent of the project." The federal courthouse has achieved LEED Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.

JE Dunn Construction's Portland office completed construction on the project. The architect of record was DLR out of Portland. The design architect was mOrphosis out of Santa Monica.
