JE Dunn Construction has been hired to provide Construction Management services for the $9 million, 27,000 SF renovation for Graceland College Science Center in Lamoni, Iowa. The program includes academic labs for chemistry, biotechnics, anatomy, botany, and physics, along with a central chemistry prep facility and shared specialty equipment spaces.

Local company, JE Dunn Construction, announces the opening of their 20th office. JE Dunn is well known in the Kansas City market for some of the region's most notable building projects. Past work has ranged from small tenant improvement projects to entire corporate campuses, such as Sprint in Overland Park. JE Dunn recently built portions of the Power and Light District, the Nelson Museum's Bloch addition and the Federal Reserve Bank. Some of JE Dunn's current projects include the Kauffman Performing Arts Center and St. Luke's Hospital Wornall Campus.

What's going on here? American Institute of Architects (AIA) recognizes Wayne Morse Federal Courthouse in Eugene, Oregon and the IRS Pennway Complex in Kansas City as two of the top green buildings in the country in the past two years. Right on the heels of the AIA announcement, those same two buildings receive top honors in Building Design & Construction magazine's 2008 Building Team award program. Both buildings were constructed by JE Dunn Construction, headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri.

JE DUNN CONSTRUCTION AWARDED WEST PLATTE SCHOOL DISTRICT PROJECT

JE Dunn Construction has recently been selected to provide Construction Management services for the new West Platte School District project in Weston, Missouri. The existing building is a contiguous elementary through high school complex. The funding for the project is currently projected to be in the range of $8 million. The current planning phase includes an elementary school renovation, new gymnasium and a performing arts center. JE Dunn was the construction manager for the high school expansion in 1998. Construction is anticipated for 2009. Hollis and Miller is the architect.
