The Dunn Difference

In Pursuit of Building Perfection®

By definition, perfection is unattainable but by its very nature worth pursuing. Since our founding in 1924, JE Dunn has pursued perfection in our buildings, our relationships and our conduct across the countless communities in which we live and work. It's something we aspire to on a daily basis through our use of technology, project-specific initiatives and attention to the world around us. How we strive to reach this lofty goal is what sets us apart, it's what makes JE Dunn Construction different.

Entering the Work Zone® - Safety Comes First

Entering The Work ZoneA key element to any successful organization is the emphasis placed on providing a safe work environment. JE Dunn places the highest priority on providing a safe work environment. The Entering the Work Zone® program is intended as The start of a "whole body" awareness program that helps generate the proper mental attitude to work smart, and with the kind of safety and quality practices that will result in the best commercial construction.

Entering the Work Zone® plainly defines safety requirements and expectations for individuals and projects anywhere in the country.

Crane Safety

Further to its commitment to personnel and jobsite safety, JE Dunn has incorporated one of the most stringent crane safety programs known. Surpassing federally mandated requirements for annual tower crane inspection, JE Dunn's plan includes a 48-point tower crane inspection at the time of erection then again ever six weeks or 300 hours of operation, whichever comes first.

As intricate system of checks, cross-checks and personnel training keeps things even safer. Wherever personnel are involved in the erection, operation, or dismantling of a crane, intense training takes place and everyone, from operators to iron workers and technicians, are schooled and certified.

If third parties are involved, a JE Dunn iron worker and lead technician are present to verify all work is conducted in accordance with JE Dunn Construction safety policies and the crane manufacturer's specifications.

Compulsory daily inspections and structural integrity/weld inspections round out the program ensuring the safety of equipment, personnel and jobsite.
